You can't go anywhere without encountering someone with a different point of view. It's easy to get defensive, but it's also important to remember that not everyone is out to get you. So how to wear your beliefs?

Wear your beliefs for yourself.

In the end, wear your beliefs for yourself. If you want to wear a shirt with a religious symbol on it, do it because you want to, not because someone else wants you to. If you want to wear a shirt that says “Love Trumps Hate” or “Nasty Woman” or anything else, do it because you want to. You don’t need anyone else’s approval but your own.

Wear your beliefs for others.

I wear my beliefs on my sleeve. I have a tattoo on my arm of a cross and "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" in Hebrew. I have a tattoo on my leg of the word "freedom" in Arabic, and one on my wrist of "love" in Sanskrit.

Wear your beliefs for the world.

You are the most powerful person in your life. You have the power to make the world a better place. To do this, you need to be the best version of yourself. When you are your best self, you will have more confidence and be more successful. You will have a better time at work and be happier with your family life. If you believe in something, wear it proudly and be proud of who you are.

Wear your beliefs on the inside.

You might not be able to change the world, but you can change how you live in it. With every purchase, you have the opportunity to vote with your dollars and support companies that align with your values. If you want to make a difference, start by changing what goes on in your own life. You can also start small by donating clothes or food to a shelter or soup kitchen.

Wear your beliefs on the outside.

I was in a meeting with a group of people and it became clear that we all had different beliefs about what is right and wrong. It was frustrating because I felt like I couldn't speak my mind without offending someone. The best thing I found to do was to wear my beliefs on the outside. For example, if you are an atheist, wear a shirt that says "I'm an atheist" or "I don't believe in God." If you are a Christian, wear a cross necklace. It may seem silly at first, but it is the best way to show people what you believe in without having to say anything.
