As we approach Veterans Day, I wanted to take a moment to thank those who have served our country. Whether you're a veteran or not, you can show your support by wearing the colors of the American flag on November 11th, or by donating to an organization that supports veterans.
Honor the troops.
It's easy to forget that our troops are fighting for us. We can show them we care by thanking them, sending them care packages, or just showing up at a military base to say "thank you." When you see a soldier in uniform, shake their hand and thank them for their service. If you have children, teach them to do the same. It will make an impact on their lives and it will make an impact on the life of the soldier.
Support the troops.
There are many ways to support the troops. You can thank them for their service, write a letter to a soldier, or donate money. If you want to send a care package, here are some suggestions:
-Letter from home
-Small toys for children
It’s easy to take for granted what our troops do for us. But they deserve a lot of thanks and appreciation. They are risking their lives so that we can live ours. So when you see them, be sure to give them a thank-you and a handshake or hug. You may not know what they’ve been through, but it’s worth the time to show your gratitude.
If you want to show your support, there are many ways to do so. For example, you can send care packages or letters to soldiers. You can also hold a fundraiser for a military organization. You can buy items from the USO or donate money to the Wounded Warrior Project. Finally, you can organize a blood drive with your local Red Cross chapter.
